Our leaders must work to expand educational opportunities that allow students, families, and communities to thrive. We need to increase student access to specialized high schools focused on STEM
and other individualized options. Expanding charter
and private school options will bring creative, high
quality learning solutions that meet the diverse needs of all learners. Expanded school/business partnerships will serve to better prepare all students for the 21st century workforce.
Energy
Energy is the lifeblood of the world’s economy and the key to promoting human progress. As a nation, we should pursue diverse, reliable energy sources that prioritize energy independence. Our current energy policies are full of red tape and unnecessary subsidies that have led to historic increases in energy costs. This is driving up production costs and impacting every facet of our daily lives. In a country as large as the United States there is no one size fits all energy solution. We need to invest in nuclear, oil, natural gas, and, where the conditions are right, wind and solar.
National Security
History demonstrates that a strong America always leads to a safer world. This must be prioritized on our borders, in our military, and throughout our communities. We currently face a humanitarian crisis brought about by inept leaders and failed enforcement. The result has been devasting levels of lethal drugs, violence, and human trafficking. H.R.2 would increase border patrol agents, tighten asylum standards, require E-verify, and penalize visa overstays but our Senate will not vote on it and President Biden has vowed to veto it.
Accountability
“That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”
For too long, too many of our leaders have forgotten who and why they serve. As a result, our government has grown wasteful and inefficient and only a small fraction of Americans trust our leaders to do what is right for the people. Rebuilding trust requires electing representatives who will fight for term limits, a balanced budget, and greater transparency in all facets of government.
